2012 Hyundai Equus

The 2012 Hyundai Equus successfully competes with the best luxury brands in today's market, propelling Hyundai forward with its most powerful engine ever.

New for the 2012 model year is the upgraded direct injection 5.0-liter Tau V8 engine. The new engine produces 429 horsepower and is combined with a new in-house eight-speed transmission providing its drivers more power and refinement. A controlled ride and sweet steering make it the year's most exciting car to drive.

But the engine isn't the only thing about the 2012 Hyundai Equus that's stunning people. Its interior is a combination of leather and either birch or walnut trim which surrounds an 8-inch LCD screen displaying audio and navigational functions. The screen can also turn into a slideshow, showing photos off a UBS connection. The driver's seat is sure to please as it delivers a massage and heats or cools to the driver's preference. The telescopic steering wheel is heated to warm chilled hands and moves out of the driver's way for an easy entrance. The driver isn't the only passenger relishing the Equus's many luxuries though. Instead of a three person bench, the 2012 Hyundai Equus has two roomy, premium seats in the back. All seats heat or cool according to comfort, massage, recline, and offer extended leg space. Between the two backseats is an electronically controlled refrigerator and an entertainment system. It comes standard with 17 speakers.

On the outside, it stuns with a distinctive front grille and chrome 19-inch wheels, door handles, and bumpers. LED turn signals frame the front Xenon High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights. The Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFLS) turns with the vehicle's steering angle to give upcoming curves maximum illumination.

Hyundai has always been committed to safety, and the 2012 Equus is no exception. Nine airbags, a reinforced unibody construction, and a Vehicle Management Stability System all contributed to make it one of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) "Top Safety Pick". Adding to this year's safety features is a lane departure warning system that alerts and tugs the seatbelt when the car crosses lanes. A rearview camera and Bluetooth® hands free calling system also comes standard.

An enormous list of standard features, huge seats, and a serine ride will make anyone a believer in the 2012 Hyundai Equus's place among the most respected cars on the road.
